DESCRIPTION:Freeing Livestock  Ceremony & Purification Empowerment  \nLocation: Lotus Light Temple(Vancouver) \nFreeing Livestock Ceremony: 2015\, Aug 8\, Saturday 10:30am – 12:30pm \nSea Livestock: Livestock will be set free at Deep Cove \nDonation for the purchase of livestock and ship rental are welcomed! \n  \n \n  \nThe significant meaning of Freeing Livestock: sends the livestock back to their natural state\, freeing them from captivity\, or condemned to death to provide food\, etc. Life release is a Buddhist tradition of saving lives  that are destined to be killed\, thus\, this practice is one of the best offering\, the act of compassion to free one from the biggest fear of facing the unwanted\, forceful death by being kill.   \nThe main purpose of this practice is to save lives that are in danger and to pray for their ultimate Enlightenment as well as for all sentient beings. The lives that are being released usually have no chance to be connected with the Buddhist teachings; by taking refuge on their behalf\, means placing them under the protection of Buddhism. Thus\, in the “Freeing Livestock Ceremony”\,  the “Fourfold Refuges” will be taken on the behalves of the livestock and affirm the reliance on the guidance of the gurus\, all Buddhas\, the teachings of Buddhas\, and the holy assembly of Buddhist elders.  \nThis virtuous act has great merit and it can be dedicated to a beneficiary to have a long life.  As a buddhist\, one may dedicate this merit to one’s  Buddhist Master\, to have a long life\, and\, to the flourishing of spreading the dharma teachings to the sentient beings around the world.  \n \n  \nCeremony Registration: \nAll ceremony registrations are on a voluntary donation basis.
